Heights of being Outsourced..!

We all know that India has great talent and also has the strength. we are the most populous country on this planet and growing.

If the strength in numbers is added with intelligence then nothing can stop Indians from conquering the world. this still will happen however a recent incident puts me into doubt. let me explain in detail here.

Ukraine vs Russia have been on the verge of destroying themselves with the war since a couple of years now. each day one side inflicts a devestating blow to another and vice-versa.

the toll has been on the single major resource in this bloody war and that resource is the Human resource.

What happens when you have a country which has been groomed to remain poor and uneducated. scamsters quickly create ponzi schemes and this time the fraud was at a phenomenal level.

One such victim was Mohammed Afshan, a 30 year old from Hyderabad, Telangana who was duped by the scamsters to work in a Russian firm and sent to the war-front where he succumbed.

CBI has started an intense investigation into this matter and has uncovered a network of scamsters luring young, uneducated Indians for a job with a higher pay in Russia and Ukraine.

They are told that they would be labour force and end up into a military camp, where with very less basic training they are sent to the frontline.

How did this happen. two things to ponder.

1) Iliteracy - A foreign land where it snows and people are fair skinned is not always good. people who were recruited did not even know the geography where they will be working. the language barrier, the political situation and their living status.

2) Greed -  Foreign currency people think is more than Indian currency, so if you are earning say 10k Rs in India, you might get 100k Rs (after conversion) in UK. however that is only one side of the coin. people dont understand that you can stay without any earning in India for a couple of days, in a foreign country you cannot. you cannot even get admitted into a hospital if you do not have insurance. we dont need to explain the benefits wrt to purchasing power in India. the system is strained but it still works on a humane level. most of these uneducated youth who go there think life will be smooth and then they have to work as underpaid labor, stay in inhumane surroundings and work like a mule.

To summarise - we are producing more and more Indians everyday but we are not educating the existing workforce. learning a trade is not enough in this digital world, people have to learn about multiple factors around us. If a foreign company pays you well to commit a crime against your country, people should report them to the authorities rather than sharing confidential information which can be the key to your family being in the same terrorist attack. We also need the youth to understand that Foreign return sounds prestigious but being an Alien in the Foreign country is tough, there is struggle to prove your worth at workplace, there is struggle to clear the bias, racisim and instantly called towel-head without understanding the basic difference between a Sardar with Turban and a Taliban Millitant.

Students and Potential Job-seekers should be careful on what they want to do with the safety of their life. Do not get that onsite offer wherein you will be sorry for the project condition you have to work on. similarily do not take up a job without understandign the working conditions, insurance and cost of living.
